A cask strength rum from Madeira, aged for six years in Madeira wine casks. It was bottled at 52.6% vol in a 700 ml bottle.
The nose shows orange peel, baked fruit, Madeira wine and vanilla pods. On the palate, vanilla, Madeira wine and fruit are joined by raisins, black olives, berries, pineapple, mango and freshly pressed sugar cane. The finish is finely balanced and complex, with a grassy note.
At six years, it is the oldest rum ever bottled by the small distillery.
