Oban 14 Year Old is a West Highland single malt from Oban Distillery in Scotland, bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is the core expression of the distillery, which stands in the fishing town of Oban, and the West Highland representative in Diageo's Classic Malts series.
The nose is rich and smoky, with medicinal notes, seaweed, tarry ropes, cut hay and wood smoke over a gentle estery sweetness. The palate is thick and full, with citrus, smooth sweetness, drifting smoke and seaweed, and rich oak with grist, cereal and malt. The finish is of good length, with fruit and dry oak.
