Oban 14 Year Old is a West Highland single malt from the distillery in the fishing town of Oban, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. A seaside resort has grown up around the distillery in the two centuries since it was first built.
The nose is smoky and maritime, with hints of sticking plasters and toffee brittle. The palate is smoky and creamy, with marmalade, toffee apples and pear cider, and cloves arriving late. The finish is long and malty, with toasty oak and spice.
