Oban Little Bay is a Highland single malt produced in small batches and released by Diageo in 2015. The name is the Gaelic meaning of Oban, the distillery's home town.
It matures in ex-sherry casks of European oak and refill hogsheads of American oak, then spends time in the distillery's smallest casks, made of virgin oak. The colour runs from golden yellow to light amber.
The nose is full and sweet with fruit, a little salt and smoke, and mint. The palate is warming, malty and sugary, with orange, clove and apple. The finish is soft and long, with mint and dark chocolate, ending in smoky cedar.
