Oban Little Bay is a Highland single malt from Oban Distillery on Scotland's west coast, bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle. It carries no age statement.
The whisky is matured in small casks: refill casks fitted with Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry cask ends, re-charred ex-bourbon barrels and refill ex-bourbon hogsheads. The distillery dates from 1794, and the town grew up around it.
It is described as rich and bold, with dried fruit in the manner of Christmas pudding. Bright citrus and warm spice run through the palate, and the finish is of dark chocolate.
