Oban Little Bay is a single malt from Oban, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from whisky matured in refill American oak hogsheads, European oak Sherry casks and refill casks fitted with new ends. Master Blenders Dr. Matthew Crow and Dr. Craig Wilson marry the result in small oak casks before bottling.
The nose brings dried apple chips, floral herbs, chopped mint, candied orange and a touch of milky coffee. On the palate there are sea-salted chocolates, pound cake with demerara sugar and cinnamon, and citrus returning mid-palate. The finish is spiced with cinnamon and ginger.
