Ocho Extra Añejo is a tequila from the Highlands of Jalisco, made with master distiller Carlos Camarena, a fifth-generation agave farmer. It is aged for 3 years in ex-American oak whiskey barrels, which give a darker amber colour with light green and golden reflections.
The nose brings raisins, peach, dark chocolate, salted caramel, vanilla and cooked agave. On the palate there is cooked agave, roasted coffee, nuts, orange peel, black pepper and cherries. The finish is long, with vanilla, coffee, fresh oak and a round mouthfeel.
