Octomore 14.2 is a 5 year old Islay single malt, bottled at 57.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2017 from the 2016 harvest of 100% Scottish grown Concerto barley, and peated to 128.9 ppm.
The five years of maturation were spent in first-fill Oloroso hogshead together with first and second-fill Amarone casks.
The different casks give roasted coffee, red currant and rich fruit cake notes, carried on a wave of smoke.
