Octomore 16.2 is a heavily peated five-year-old single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, bottled in 2025 at 58.1% in a 70cl bottle. The Scottish Concerto barley was peated to 101.4 PPM.
It matured first in Oloroso sherry and Bordeaux wine casks, then spent its final year in Madeira and Portuguese Moscatel casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose brings dried and tropical fruit, blossom, nuts and sweet smoke. On the palate sweet smoke and caramelised sugar meet nuts, candied citrus peel and bold spice, and the long finish is sweet and smoky with sea salt.
