This is Octomore Edition 17.3, a five year old, super heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, released in 2026 as a limited edition. It measures 132.1 PPM and is bottled at 60.9%.
The barley is all grown on Islay. The whisky matured in ex-bourbon, Sauternes and Ribera del Duero wine casks, with the wine casks adding fruity and sweet notes alongside the smoke.
It is described as combining dark peat smoke with lively citrus and a creamy sweetness.
