Okayama Triple Cask (70cl, 43%)

Okayama Triple Cask is a single malt from Miyashita Distillery, also known as Okayama Distillery, which was founded in 2012. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is a blend of single malts aged in three kinds of cask: Pedro Ximenez sherry, brandy and Mizunara, the Japanese oak. The distillery dilutes with pure water drawn from 100 metres deep at the Asahikawa spring. The nose has ripe red fruits. On the palate come toasted wood and sweet spices, followed by a delicate finish of vanilla, cocoa and caramel.
