Old Bardstown Estate is a Kentucky bourbon from the Kentucky Bourbon Distillery, bottled at 50.5% ABV (101 proof) in a 70cl bottle.
It matures for several years in new charred American white oak casks and has a chestnut-brown colour. The nose is sweet incense and eucalyptus, with a hint of golden copal resin, and is reminiscent of a single malt finished in sherry casks.
On the palate come vanilla, nutmeg, malt, eucalyptus and green tobacco. The finish is medium in length, earthy, with notes of leather.
