Old Fitzgerald 10 Year Bottled in Bond Spring 2023 (75cl, 50%)

Old Fitzgerald 10 Year Old Bottled in Bond is the Spring 2023 release in Heaven Hill's decanter series, a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon. The barrels were filled in the spring of 2013 and the whiskey was bottled ten years later, in the spring of 2023, at 100 proof (50%). It comes in a diamond decanter modelled on a 1950s Old Fitzgerald design, with the green label used for spring releases. The bourbon is deep amber. The nose shows cinnamon, vanilla and caramel over light oak spice and gentle fruit sweetness. On the palate it is rich and velvety, with honey, butterscotch, brown sugar, plums, peaches, figs and toasted oak. The finish is warm and sweet, with dark fruit and milk chocolate.
