Old Forester 1870 Original Batch (75cl, 45%)

Old Forester 1870 Original Batch is a Kentucky straight bourbon in the Whiskey Row Series, bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It recreates the batching method George Garvin Brown used when he founded Old Forester in 1870 and sold bourbon in sealed glass bottles. Barrels are taken from three warehouses, each with its own production day, entry proof and age profile, then combined. It is minimally filtered to keep the character of all three barrel types. The nose is caramel, vanilla and subtle spice. The palate is balanced and rich, with more depth than a single-warehouse bourbon, and the finish is smooth and sustained.
