Old Forester 1897 Bottled in Bond is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Whiskey Row Series, named for the 1897 Bottled-in-Bond Act. It is bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 75cl bottle. The bonded designation means the whiskey comes from one distiller at one distillery in a single distillation season, and ages for at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse. This one is made at Brown-Forman's Louisville distillery on Whiskey Row. The nose combines caramel, vanilla and oak with spice. The palate is full-bodied, with sweet caramel and spice, and the finish is long and warm, with spice and oak lingering.
