Old Forester 86 Proof Bourbon (75cl, 43%)

Old Forester 86 Proof is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Brown-Forman in Louisville, bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is the flagship expression of Old Forester, a brand created in 1870 by George Garvin Brown, who pioneered selling bourbon in sealed glass bottles. The family continued to distil and market it before, during and after Prohibition. It is made to be drunk neat or on the rocks, and it holds its character in cocktails. Expect caramel, vanilla and sweet oak on the nose, with caramel and vanilla on a rich, smooth palate and warm spice in the middle. The finish is warm and of medium length.
