Old Forester 1924 10 Year Old Whiskey Row Series (75cl)

Old Forester 1924 is a 10 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from the Whiskey Row Series, made by Brown-Forman. It marks 1924, when Old Forester kept operating through Prohibition under a federal medicinal spirits permit and bottled whiskey acquired from closed distilleries. To commemorate that period, it uses a different mash bill from the usual Old Forester recipe: 79% corn and 11% rye, against the traditional 72% corn and 18% rye. It was also fermented with a yeast strain developed for this release. Tasting notes mention fudge, cocoa, marzipan, cured tobacco, chocolate-covered graham cracker and grilled pineapple.
