This is a 12 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from Old Forester, distilled in spring 1993 and bottled in 2005. It is bottled at 48% (96 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
Birthday Bourbon is released each year on 2 September, the birthday of the company's founder, George Garvin Brown. Each edition is a small-batch selection of 12 year old barrels chosen by the master distiller. The 2005 release is from the early years of the series, and its strength is higher than the standard Old Forester range.
