Old Forester Statesman Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky (75cl, 47.5%)

Old Forester Statesman is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 95 proof, 47.5% ABV, without an age statement. It first appeared in August 2017 as an officially licensed collaboration with the film Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and Brown-Forman has since kept it as a permanent part of the Old Forester range. The mash bill is 72 percent corn, 18 percent rye and 10 percent malted barley. The whiskey is matured in new charred American oak, in casks hand selected from the warmest locations in the heat cycled rickhouses. The nose is devil's food cake, clove, oak spice, raw vanilla, baked apple, brown sugar and cinnamon bread. The palate opens with buttery leather, then pepper, cinnamon bark and citrus, with cherry, caramel, banana and waffle sweetness. The finish is long, with spice and eucalyptus fading to orange cream, butterscotch and caramel.
