The President's Choice is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Old Forester, in a 75cl bottle. This one comes from barrel number 162, aged at least 88 months, and is bottled at barrel strength: 57.7% (115.4 proof).
The barrel was hand selected by Campbell P. Brown, a fifth generation member of the founding family. Each label carries the barrel number, age and strength written by hand.
The nose is rich caramel and dark cherry with toasted oak, baking spice and a note of leather. The palate is full bodied and oily, with vanilla, dried fruit and cocoa against black pepper and firm oak tannin. The finish is long and dry, closing on oak, spice and caramel.
