Old Kempton Solera Cask is a hand-crafted, double-distilled single malt from Tasmania, bottled at 49% in a 50cl bottle. It comes from a Portuguese solera tun filled with a selection of Old Kempton whisky and left to mellow. Half of the tun's contents are decanted and bottled each time.
The aroma brings dried fruits, cherries, toffee, malt, vanilla and gentle oak. The palate is rich and complex, likened to biting into a milk chocolate with an alcohol cream centre. The finish is warm and long, with dark fruit and nut chocolate, spice and toasted oak.
