The Coachhouse Cask Strength is a Tasmanian single malt from Old Kempton Distillery, bottled at 60% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It is named for the coach house at Dysart House that served as the distillery's temporary home until the new building was completed in 2021.
The whisky is a selection of casks from across the range, including Tasmanian Pinot Noir and Australian fortified wine casks, matched to balance bright fruit with a rich malt style.
The nose offers rich malt and fruit pastilles, then florals and musk sticks. The palate is sweet, with stewed apple and spices, and the finish is long and sweet before oak, spices and orange peel.
