The Old Stables is a Tasmanian single malt from Old Kempton, matured in small casks and bottled in a 70cl bottle at 40.5% abv. It is a small batch release and serves as the introduction to the Old Kempton range. It won Best Australian Small Batch Single Malt at the 2022 World Whisky Awards. The nose is a fruit and nut chocolate note with gentle malt. The palate starts sweet, then builds to creamy toffee malt and lingers. The finish is a warm glow balanced by malt spices.
