This is a single malt Scotch whisky from Glenturret, distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2007 after 14 years in Bourbon wood. It comes from a single barrel, bottled by James MacArthur & Co. Ltd in its Old Masters range at a cask strength of 56.9% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is sweet and fragrant, with vanilla, caramel, green apple and stone fruit over light wood and sweet spice. The palate is soft, oily and round, moving to ripe fruit, nuts, dark chocolate and a hint of cinnamon. The finish is lasting and warm, lightly woody.
