A straight rye whiskey from Old Overholt, bottled at 40% (80 proof) in a 1 litre bottle.
The nose is the most expressive part, led by sweet biscuit, caramel and vanilla icing over a base of citrus orange, with minor oak spice and rye behind. The palate is light and thin, with faint traces of leather, cinnamon and orange.
The same flavours rise a little in the finish, but they fade quickly.
