Old Potrero 6 Year Old is a straight rye whiskey, aromatic and grain-forward in character.
The nose brings red fruits, black currant and roasted caraway seeds. The palate is deep, with baked raspberry and blackberry. It is hot and spicy, though water tames the heat while keeping the spice, red berries and roasted rye.
The finish is warm and more mellow, with oak, coffee and bitter chocolate well integrated, and spice and tartness alongside balanced fruit.
