Old Pulteney 13 Years Old Traveller's Exclusive is a Highland single malt in a 1 litre bottle, introduced in 2023 for the international travel trade. It is an original bottling from the distillery, bottled at 43%.
The whisky matured first in American oak and then received a finish in Spanish oak. The two cask stages bring together vanilla and coconut with toffee, fruit and warm spices, while candied almonds, salted caramel and a salty coastal note add to the creamy sweetness.
The nose offers baked and caramelised apple, vanilla cream and toffee, with a dry oak contrast. The palate is oily, with raspberry jam, honey and butterscotch. The finish is medium to long, with honey, dark fruit and a gentle sea-salt note.
