This is an 18 year old single malt from Old Pulteney, introduced in 2018 when the distillery extended its core range. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV.
The whisky was double matured in ex-bourbon and Spanish oak casks.
On the nose it is intense and warming, with chocolate, vanilla and honey set against spice, then a little floral fruit giving way to citrus and apple. The palate brings chocolate, honeyed spice and Christmas cake, with zesty citrus and green apple. The finish is long.
