This is Old Pulteney 1983, a 33 year old vintage single malt from the distillery in Wick, in Caithness. It was bottled in 2017 at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was finished in ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso sherry casks. Pulteney was founded in 1826 by James Henderson and is among the smaller distilleries in Scotland. Its water comes from the Loch of Yarrows, about seven kilometres from Wick.
