This is a 13 year old Old Pulteney single malt from Duncan Taylor's The Octave range. It was distilled in 2007, matured in oak casks and bottled in 2021 at 54.4%. Only 86 bottles were filled, each of 70cl. Pulteney distillery stands in the harbour town of Wick in Caithness and was founded in 1826 by James Henderson. Its relatively peaty water comes from Loch of Yarrows, about seven kilometres away, while the cooling water is drawn from the nearer Loch of Hempriggs. It is one of Scotland's smaller distilleries.
