This is a 25-year-old Old Pulteney, a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle at 46%. It matured first in ex-bourbon casks and was then finished in ex-Oloroso sherry butts. It is bottled without colouring or chill filtration, and its colour is a glimmering bronze.
The palate is led by chocolate and spice, with bitter chocolate, creamy vanilla and hints of toffee.
The nose is mature and fragrant, with heavy spices and dark chocolate, and the finish is long and spicy.
