Old Pulteney – 38 Year Old 1982 Private Collection (57.1%)

This is an Old Pulteney 38 Year Old, a Highland single malt distilled in June 1982 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for its Private Collection series. It matured in a single refill American hogshead, number 861, and was bottled in December 2020 at a natural cask strength of 57.1%. Only 99 hand-blown crystal decanters were produced. The refill American oak is described as bringing fruit, subtle spice and a gentle coastal influence to the distillery's maritime character.
