Old Pulteney – Huddart (70cl)

Old Pulteney Huddart is a single malt from the distillery in Wick, Caithness, in the northern Highlands, in a 70cl bottle. It adds a smoky note to the distillery's maritime style. The spirit is first aged in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in casks that previously held peated whisky. The nose has sea spray, green apple and gentle peat smoke, with vanilla, honey and minerality. The palate brings salted caramel, ripe pear and salinity, with more pronounced peat smoke, toasted oak and spice. The finish is long and warming, with coastal smoke, vanilla and dry oak.
