Old Pulteney – Pineau des Charentes Coastal Series

Old Pulteney Pineau des Charentes is the first expression in the Coastal Series, a new limited edition collection from Old Pulteney. The whisky is first matured in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Pineau des Charentes casks. Pineau des Charentes is a regional aperitif from the Charente-Maritime region on the south-west coast of France. The finish adds a lighter, sweeter character to the classic Maritime Malt. The nose offers honey, vanilla, balsamic glaze and sultanas. The palate is oaky, nutty and spicy with candied oranges, and the finish is drying and sweet with caramelised hazelnuts and a coastal minerality.
