Ondjaba Classic The Namibian Whiskey (70cl, 46%)

Ondjaba Classic is a Namibian triple grain whiskey made by Wolfgang and Esther Koll at the Erongo Mountain Winery, 1,226 metres above sea level. It is described as the first whisky from Namibia. The grain is smoked over elephant dung, which gives a sweet, cigar-like aroma, and mahangu, a millet grown in the country for thousands of years, is a main ingredient. The whiskey matures in red wine barriques. Sweet smoke, vanilla, caramel and suede are the notes associated with it, and it won gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2022.
