Orkney – 14 Year Old 2011 - Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Edition #71 is a single malt whisky from Orkney (Islands). Aged 14 years, bottled at 57.1% ABV, 70cl. Finished in 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt. Built in 1878 in Rothes, Glenrothes has long produced malt for blends such as Cutty Sark and The Famous Grouse. Known for long fermentation and slow distillation, its spirit is fruity, spicy, and well-suited to sherry maturation. Formerly bottled by vintage year, Glenrothes relaunched with age-stated expressions under Edrington before transitioning to Berry Bros & Rudd ownership for much of its branded single-malt releases. The distillery retains a reputation for elegant, understated Speyside whisky. Distilled in 2011 at a secret Orkney distillery, it lay maturing in and was finished in a 1st fill Oloroso Sherry butt before being bottled for Signatory for their 100 Proof Edition #71 at 57.1% ABV.
