This is a 14 year old single malt from Orkney, distilled in 2011 at Highland Park and bottled by Signatory Vintage as Edition #71 of its 100 Proof series. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 57.1% ABV.
The whisky was matured in 1st-fill Oloroso sherry butts. That fresh sherry oak is described as adding raisins, dates, orange peel, dark chocolate and warming spice.
Heathery peat, honeyed malt and a maritime character run through it, with gentle smoke and a subtle coastal freshness.
