OSA Fine Spirits Clubhouse Barrel (70cl, 40%)

Clubhouse Barrel is a blended Scotch whisky from OSA Fine Spirits, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The bottle sits inside a barrel-shaped replica with a wooden look, mounted on a stand. The blend marries three grain whiskies and fifteen malts. The grains spend three years in bourbon casks, while the malts, from Speyside and Islay, spend at least five years in sherry casks. European oak casks that once held sweet wine or port are also part of the mix. Clubhouse first appeared in 1969 in a golf ball bottle. The nose combines malt with apple, pear and pale grapes, plus a hint of smoke. On the palate are ripe nectarines, apricots, cinnamon and smoky touches. The finish is dry, with freshly cut grass and a trace of smoke.
