Overeem – Bourbon Cask Matured Distiller Strength (70cl, 43%)

An Australian whisky from Overeem, matured in American oak casks that previously held bourbon and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The casks are given a heavy toast and char during coopering, which the distillery credits for the layered character of this expression. It is described as opening with coconut and pineapple, followed by burnt vanilla and citrus, caramelised banana, marshmallow and toasted oak.
