Padre Azul Añejo (70cl)

Padre Azul Añejo is a tequila made from blue agave that spends at least 18 months in hand-selected bourbon oak casks. The agaves grow for eight to ten years, are steamed in masonry ovens for 24 to 48 hours and fermented for 72 to 96 hours. The bottle is blown by hand and wrapped in leather, a nod to Mexican Lucha Libre masks. Its 270 gram metal stopper is shaped like a skull, a reference to the Dia de los Muertos. The nose is soft and complex, with coffee, caramelised sugar, vanilla and hazelnut. The palate is balanced and full-bodied, with vanilla, caramel, chocolate, cinnamon and dried fruit and nuts, and the finish is very long and smooth.
