Paso de las Piedras Single Grain (75cl, 40%)

Paso de las Piedras Single Grain is an Argentine grain whiskey in the style of a straight bourbon, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It is made from agroecological grains grown around Carcaraña in Santa Fe, using a mash of 60% maize, 25% malt and 15% rye. The mash is fermented briefly at controlled temperatures and distilled twice in a pot still. It is aged for a minimum of two years in heavily toasted American oak casks, after filtering through charcoal made from the same wood. No colourants are added and it is not chill-filtered. The nose is vanilla and caramel with raisins, hazelnuts and spice. The palate is soft, with ripe fruit and grain, and the finish is long and sweet.
