Paso de las Piedras Single Malt Imperial Stout Cask (75cl, 43%)

Paso de las Piedras Imperial Stout Cask is an Argentine small batch single malt, made in Carcarañá, in Santa Fe. It is distilled in a pot still from malted barley with a touch of smoked malt, and bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks from the producer's own production, then finished in Imperial Stout beer casks, which give it a deep golden colour. It is filtered through oak charcoal. The nose is described as caramel sweetness, vanilla, toasted oak, stone fruit and raisins, and the finish is long and lightly spiced.
