Paul John Bold Peated is an Indian single malt from Goa, bottled at 46% abv in a 70cl bottle and not chill-filtered. It is a peated expression and liquid gold in colour.
The nose opens with a slight breath of smoke before Manuka honey, prickly spice and red liquorice come through. On the palate it is silky and honeyed with oak, then a wave of spice gives way to smoke, dry molasses, peaty soot and a hint of copper. The finish is light, with copper, smoked mocha and delicate spice.
