Paul John – Christmas Edition 2025 Single Malt (70cl, 48%)

This is the 2025 Christmas Edition from Paul John, the eighth in its annual festive releases and the oldest whisky the Indian distillery has released. It is bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle, a step up from the 46% of earlier editions, and is non-chill-filtered with no additives. The malt spent five years in bourbon casks, then two years in 250-litre oloroso and Pedro Ximenez cream sherry casks. The two finishes were vatted together and aged for a final year. There are 6,254 bottles. The nose offers orange blossom, honey and ripe peach, followed by apple, stone fruits, butterscotch and cinnamon on the palate.
