Paul John – Edited Single Malt Whisky (46%)

Paul John Edited is an Indian single malt from John Distilleries in Goa, bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill-filtered. It is made from six-row Indian barley grown at high altitude in the Himalayan foothills. The malt is mostly unpeated Indian single malt combined with a portion of peated Scottish malt, which adds light smoke. It is distilled in copper pot stills and matured in ex-bourbon casks. The nose offers warm honey, barley sugar, cocoa nibs and roasted coffee bean with distant peat smoke. The palate brings malted biscuit, caramelised sugar, mocha and toasted coconut, with delicate peat mid-palate. The finish is long and mellow, with sweet malt, soft smoke and cocoa.
