This is an unpeated Indian single malt from Paul John, made in Goa on India's western coast. It belongs to the Select Cask range, and this expression is a Port cask bottling at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured in a tropical climate and has a deep mahogany colour.
It was named Category Winner and Best Indian Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2026.
The nose offers vanilla, dry resin, dark plum and red liquorice with blackcurrants, plus milk chocolate and brown sugar. The palate brings candied fruit, light ginger and peppery nutmeg with a trace of sweet oak. The finish is long and zesty, with orange mocha and spiced chocolate.
