Peerless Double Oak is a Kentucky straight bourbon, here from Batch 15, bottled at a barrel proof 54.4% ABV in a 75cl bottle. This batch is signed by master distiller Corky Taylor.
The bourbon is exposed to two separate casks, giving two full barrel extractions. Barrels with prominent grain, fruit and herbaceous notes are chosen for the style.
The nose is sweet oak with orange zest and cedar, then tobacco and herbs. Honey sweetness on the palate turns to cinnamon, spicy oak and leather. The finish is sweet, toasted oak and dry cocoa.
