Pendleton is a blended Canadian whisky, bottled in Oregon at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It is the flagship whisky of Hood River Distillers, named in honour of the local round-up, and it has a number of ties to the pro rodeo world.
The whisky is aged for 10 years in re-fill American oak and is an easy-sipping blend with a sweet leaning.
The nose shows candy corn, butterscotch and caramel coffee syrup, with maple syrup, vanilla and waffle cone emerging. The palate has burnt caramel and raw grain, then dark honey, cane sugar and cinnamon. The finish is long, with caramel, vanilla, molasses and maple.
