Penelope Toasted Series Barrel Finish is a straight bourbon of 50% strength, in a 750ml bottle. It was distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and is aged for four to six years.
The four-grain bourbon first matures in charred new American oak, then is finished in new, freshly toasted barrels. Each batch blends the brand's three bourbon mash bills at different toast levels. It is non-chill filtered.
The nose offers toasted marshmallow, deep vanilla, caramel and cinnamon. The palate is rich with honey, caramel, vanilla and baking spice, alongside some char, and the finish is warm and toasty.
