Rye'd On is a Pinhook bourbon and the first bottling of a custom mash bill created by Pinhook with Castle & Key. It is also the first whiskey to come out of the resurrected Old Taylor Distillery since that site was abandoned in 1972.
The mash bill contains a notably high proportion of malted barley, distilled at Castle & Key. This is said to bring a savoury, nutty, umami character, with added complexity, depth of flavour and a rich, creamy texture.
